The underworld was a dank place, dreary and unforgiving. She hated to think this was all that awaited her after death.
Onnix jumped to the side, avoiding a crashing boulder from the ceiling. She supposed such a structural flaw wouldn't usually be much of a concern here; you can't kill dead people. Onnix walked slowly through the meandering pathways of the Underworld Caverns toward Hades' Throne Room. One of his little imps had accidentally tipped her off that the Lord of the Dead was expecting a visit from the Fates, and she wanted them to tell everything about her past, if she had to sell her soul to Hades to convince them. This visit was proving to be much more interesting than fighting in a tournament out of boredom. Thank Heaven.
Onnix always prided her intuition, and something in the back of her mind-- a memory of fear, or doubt, perhaps?-- caused her to search through the corridors and study the shades' faces. She was looking for someone whom she knew should be dead. What 'should be' meant exactly was still undefined.

For being part of the lowest pit of Hell, the throne was rather comfortable. He leaned over an armrest, hooking leather clad knees over the opposite one. Pain and Panic were scrambling around their new Master's feet, a silver tray clattering in their claws as they presented another bottle of wine. Treize..or Satan or whatever mythological embodiement of evil he was supposed to be today hooked a jet-tinted wineglass between his fingers to accept the liquid. The clicking of heels down the left corridor caught his ear and he cocked a brow, that sound hadn't been heard since well..before he was cast down.

Onnix was getting more and more frustrated by the minute. She had been through dark chamber after dark chamber and as all the faces of the dead began to look the same she could swear she was going in circles! Until, finally, looming over head was the skull shaped chamber of Hades himself. She practically burst through the Throne Room doors, in hopes that the Fates had not yet finished their audience in the Underworld.

"You know..I really didn't expect you so---oh." The rim of the glass lowered from his lips and he sat up, one foot on the stone floor.

"Where are they! Hades, the Fates, whoever the fuck I'm looking for!" she screamed at him as she made strides toward the throne. "And who the Hell are you, you sickly, pompous, dandy of a ghost! This isn't even the actual Throne Room is it? You're just some management sort, this is your office, and I'm on a fucking wild goose chase!" She whipped out her link blade and held it at Treize's breast, "Take me where I want to go, or I'll turn you into a heartless here and now."

The smirk never left his lips as he lifted a gloved hand to stroke the blades at his throat. "Clever..never thought my designs would go beyond..well.." He coughed, smirk turning to a grin. "Well if I'm so low on the management ladder then it should be obvious that I can not read your mind and know your intent of direction."

She pulled her link blade away from his fingertips and glared at him. "As I said, I want to find Hades' Chamber. Are you going to take me there, or not, I don't need you to waste my time."

"Allright," she snarled as the end of her link blade shot forth toward his chest. She would always be true to her word, and he probably wouldn't make a bad heartless anyway; he might even be a challenge for one of the lesser keyblade wielders.

He swirled the last sip of wine, looking down at his chest, right brow arching. The link blade delved futher, a black mist surrounding the entry point as Hades' blue flame began to wind up its length."I'm afraid you're too late for this..little endeavor.." Ash was flecking from the weapon as the darkness of his role in Hell began to wear at the metal.

Onnix's eyes widened as the blue flames shot up her sword and burned her hands. Her form shot back and the blade fell, dangling from Treize's chest. She fell to the floor, clutching her hands close to her abdomen, eyes watering from the pain. "I thought only Hades could command the fires of Hell," she murmured to herself inbetween gasps of breath.

"Hades..is..indisposed..and I found it my responsibilty to pick up where he left off in terms of rule..." He smiled, graciously pulling her weapon free from under his sternum. The wound closed up, the fabric of his overcoat mending with it.

"So you are the God of Death... then where are the Fates? I must have an audience with them!" she pleaded, almost in tears, more from the injury to her arms than her feelings, but it looked somewhat convincing. She was desperate, as her search for her other had continued for two long, generally unsuccessful years.
